I wish everyone I knew could have been at the LSO’s Robin Theater concert last night. That would save me trying to describe the unique, unusual, and thoroughly engaging concert we presented.  It was a capacity crowd again, as this series tends to be, so I guess there wasn’t room for everyone I know anyway, but still.... We even did two performances to accommodate the demand.
 
I say “we”, but it was really our players (Michael Bechtel, Florina Petrescu, Madeline Warner, Dooeun Lee), the composers and the filmmakers that made the magic. I just sat there and watched, listened and was carried away. Wait…filmmaker’s you say?
 
Yes, you heard that right, filmmakers. This program was a collaboration with the Capital Area Film Festival and featured works for chamber ensemble and short films.  It was unlike any concert I have ever seen. Rather than try to explain, I’ll just put the complete program and some links below and you can watch and listen for yourself.
 
Of course, it’s always better live, but this will at least give you an idea. Enjoy!
